Day Five: Another day at the office

Well, its Wednesday, only one more work day and then Friday we are going to go to Kyoto to go sight seeing, so tomorrow is last day in the office. TG!!! This morning Brigette and I went to a different coffee shop and had caramel macaroon latte. AMAZING! So nothing exciting to write about for the work day. Same ole, Goofey sent me a voicemail this morning as a surprise for when I woke up! It was so great to hear his voice again. I am soooo homesick. I miss home, and Odie and Blankey but most of all my darling! hearing his voice made me tear up... Almost time! I got a little more sleep last night which gave me some sanity! I think not sleeping during the night was just making time DRAG by. After work, Yukiko took us to the store to go shopping. Let me tell you, its such a weird concept to me. You go in on like the 3rd floor, there are clothes, shoes ect, go down to second floor, cosmetics, jewelery ect, 1st floor is regular grocery store where I bought some kit kats and some Bonito! Can't wait to try it again! Basement is seafood mart and elaborate desserts and fruits. Their apples are HUGE here along with radishes! They are like 2-3 feet and like 6 inches in diameter! INSANE. I wish i could have taken some pictures of everything but couldn't . We went out to dinner at a restaurant that was a great time! Had some beer, which was Lagar and Pilsner mixed 50/50. Then had some Sake then another beer. Dinner was elaborate. Started out with some raw vegetables, beets, pumpkin, white vegetable which reminded me of cucumber, and then some root vegetable which tasted like root.. Next we had some amazing sashimi. It was sooo fresh, Salmon, Tuna, Macerol, Octupus, Yellow Tail Fish. Was soo very fresh. Then had some Lotus Root salad. It was the root of the Lotus flower raw/plain and then breaded and fried.. YUMMY! We then had some Kobe beef, ugh so good but very fatty and hard to chew. We put some Japanese Pepper on it, OMG stuff is amazing. Will be trying to find this pepper to bring home. It was sooo good, nice flavor and then like 20-30 seconds after eating it you got some heat and hotter flavor. It sort of made my lips burn but it wasn't really HOT or spicy, hard to explain but amazingness! Dessert consisted of Green Tea Ice Cream ( this was sort of eh... very bitter and not sweet at all), Blood Bean Pudding/paste which tasted like Dates which made me remember my very young years of picking dates off treas!! SOO GOOOD! and then squares of Tapioca. I do remember now that I do not like tapioca, didn't like it in Hawaii and for some reason the consistency just makes me almost gag! I think the only consistency that draws this reaction out of me! All in all it was great! It is now 10pm and I am sooo tired. I think I am going to go read some more and call it a night! Hope all is well in the US and I will be home sooooon! It is starting to feel very close to being time to go home and I am getting so excited!

Day Four continued!

Peeking in ( this is what happens when you get up way to freaking early and are bored and only play with your camera! )

Mos Mos SHI from Japan ( Good Morning/Hello)!
Well I am sorry about last night but let me continue. Meetings = boring so that equals my day besides the whole lunch thing but I would rather not recount that again!
Last nights dinner was amazing though. We went to an old style japanese pub where all the older generation go. They smoke and drink and its fun.
There was SOOO much food. Had cooked EEL with the head still attached WEIRD...But had asparagus with Bonito ( fish shavings ) taste sooo much like bacon I wish all the bacon fans could taste it! Pink Salmon was amazing.. Baked/grilled eggplant. Asanti beer ugh i love the beer here! Rice bowl. Had some sashimi white/clear fish. had some steak and some sauteed onions OMG it was soooo amazing! My body loved me, it was like I KNOW THIS!
Here is a picture of how dinner was cooked, look closely and you can see all the fish raw WHOLE!

Day Four: First Bad Experience

Well please forgive me for not making a long posting entry tonight.
I am still not sleeping well. I only slept about 3.5 hours last night. i was awake since 4:30am. I went to bed around 12:30am awoke around 2:15 am went back to sleep around 3:20-4:30am. Today was filled with meetings again. Went to lunch at the hospital cafeteria, had Chicken with rice, soy sauce, ginger and shredded seaweed.. I beg and plead never ever feed me seaweed. My eyes swelled up and watered and burned so bad for about 3 hours we thought I was going to have to go the hospital. It was as if I was cutting onions times 30! I found out a lot of people who are allergic to seafood are allergic to the iodine ( which I am ) and there is a huge amount of iodine in kelp and seaweed. Just think of the movie HITCH, that is what I looked like. We went to old style Japanese pub. It was soo much fun, will explain and post pictures tomorrow. I am sorry if there are a lot of mistakes in my typing as I am doing it without seeing very well.
Good night and talk with everyone soon!!!

Day Three: First Working Day in Japan

Well today wasn't quite as interesting for a blog posting. I still am having a horrible time with sleeping. I went to bed around 10pm and did about an hour to two of reading before I fell asleep. I keep waking up every hour. At 3am I could no longer sleep... I kept trying to sleep but only kept dozing off here and there but haven't had more than 2 hours of continuous sleep. I finally got out of bed around 7:30 to quickly shower and get ready. Met up with Brigette, had breakfast at Starbucks then got to work around 10am. Let me just say, dressing culture here is sooo different. Everyone wears suits, seriously walked out of my hotel this morning and thought I was in the Japanese Matrix.. Men all have suits and briefcases, woman also wear suits. Its more a rarity that someone is not in a suit! Had a quick tour of the facility before having brief introductions. Went to lunch at noon. Had some fried chicken, Miso soup, dried tofu and rice. Oh how I love rice. I am finally mastering the art of chop sticks. There are no such things as forks or spoons anywhere! I can now eat vegetables ( lettuce, pickled radishes, salad ), rice, noodles, meat, sushi with chop sticks!!! Went back to the office and had meetings until 6pm. We then proceeded to go across the way to the next building and there was a welcome party for Brigette and I ! It was a lot of fun!!! Everyone was so excited to meet us and ask questions even if they could hardly speak English they tried their hardest. I so should have taken pictures of the food, it was pretty elaborate. Had Octopus Sushi tonight! VERY INTERESTING, not sure I am a huge fan.. Its kind of squishy, and chewy, and ewwyyy!!! YOU MADE ME INK was all I could think about while eating it ( don't think that helped matters)!
I am starting to get VERY homesick. I want to just come home, I am enjoying my stay here don't get me wrong but to think I just hit half way is hard to imagine. I don't think it is helping that I feel like I have morning/hung over sickness, every move and I think I am just going to PUKE!
My feet are still swelling and feels somewhat worse. Today my ankles are getting purplish/pink bruises. Where there were creases in my feet is now red and looks like scratches on my skin. Well it is almost 10pm, I have so much to do tonight, need to edit some photos, and have so many reports to prepare for tomorrow I guess I should be doing that! Here is a picture of CarnaBioScience Employees! Masa 2 is the one with his arm around me, we are the competitive Carna Photographers!!! Good Morning America! Have a great Monday!

Day Two Adventures

One must never be afraid to venture out and explore no matter if you are comfortable or not!
Well today was so productive and adventurous!
It first started out that I awoke at 5am (3pm east coast time) and got up and went online for awhile. I went back to bed until 8:30 but could not sleep. I finally got up and played on facebook and arranged my fantasy teams ( no worries, I might be halfway around the world but sports have a place in my life) and cleaned up my mess from throwing everything out of my bags! I don't have any draws or anything to unpack so I am totally living out of a suitcase for the week. I took a nice long HOT shower which felt amazing. At 10:30 I finally ventured out for some breakfast. I went to Starbucks and successfully ordered ( in Japanese) a caramel latte and a donut... キャラメルカフェラテ & ドーナツ I was SOOOO PROUD...
I then walked around this HUGE shopping mall. I finally ended up going to 0101 ( a big department store) here in Japan. ( this was taken at night)
I fell in LOVE with a couple of rings. They are Rose Gold/Pink Gold with either diamonds or blue diamonds in it. So gorgeous and only like 50-60 dollars. Mind you they are small. The rings here fit me, everything does so far its amazing! If anyone knows how durable rose/pink gold is please let me know.. I know it is gold mixed in with copper...
I then went back to the room and rested some until 1pm. My feet are so swollen I can only stand to be on them for 2-3 hours at a time.
We then went about 2 blocks north and found the bus which took us down to the port of Kobe.
Went up to the top of the building and what amazing views! This one is looking inland! Look how many buildings there are and the mountains!
Here is one looking out towards port Island, tomorrow i get to find out which of these buildings my work is in!
It was cool, on I think it was the 3rd floor, there was a revolving restaurant!
Then walked around the flea/yard sale market for awhile.
After went and checked out the Yamato1: Superconducting, electromagnetic propulsion boat! Thanks to Kawasaki Marine Engineering Museum! Thing looked like something out of a movie!
If you are bored on YOUR sunday afternoon google it! Its pretty cool to learn about and see!
Got back on the trolley/bus and did the city loop! Amazing thing to do, mind you I had no idea where I was going but could tell it seemed to do a loop so stayed on it til I knew I was near the hotel again! Walked down to the Kobe Museum and went in there!

Saw some amazing cultural stuff and got a postcard of one of the special exhibits!
Went back to the hotel after visiting the flower clock !
Brigetta and I had made plans to meet for dinner at 6pm so this gave me some time to unwind/elevate my feet before then! We went in more to downtown to a restaurant which had raman.. Oh what a sight it was trying to order! Of course they didn't speak a word of english, we finally got across that we wanted two beers and some beef raman. It turned out we got across pork but not true beef!
After dinner and some good english converstation we decided to walk around some!
This is a very common sight in Japan, displays of the restaurants food!

Well it is now 9pm, I am exhausted and my feet hurt. I think I am proud to say it was a good day in sight seeing.. I am proud for not being afraid and hiding in my hotel room! We take for granted reading street signs, menus, subway signs all for granted. Its hard being plopped in the middle of a country where nothing is familiar to you. Its all good and an amazing lesson!
Goodnight everyone, enjoy your sunday because I already enjoyed mine! Now off to bed I go because I start work early in the AM and have a packed day! Thanks to all who have been keeping my spirits high with emails! It really does help!!!
Love

Day One of my Adventures to Japan

Hello to all who are reading this!! Well as most of you know, I left on Thursday from MA and arrived in SF at 4:30pm. It was for the most part a very safe and smooth ride, only once did i think the plane was going to crash from turbulence. I stayed at the Crown Plaza in Burlingame CA. It's about 2 miles north of the airport. I got in, dropped my bags, went downstairs hoping they were playing the Montreal Canadiens vs the Boston Bruins game but unfortunately not. I got a Sam Adams and some pulled pork sliders to go. Went back to my room, ate 1.5 and then decided to call it a night at 7:30 local time. Friday morning was the big day. I, of course, had severe jet lag and was up at 5am. Did some stuff online, finally got out of bed at 7, repacked for the day, showered and left the hotel at 9:10. Arrived at the airport, check in for International flight, the lady at the counter laughed and patted me on the back after I checked in, she handed everything back to me and I said now where do I go!! I got to security and started panicing severely. I had one hour at this point and the line snaked about 20 times. Thankfully I made it through in 40 minutes, grabbed a breakfast sandwich and then boarding began... It was the longest 12 freaking hours of my life being on that plane. I watched the map of where we were flying. Quite interestingly we hugged the coast all the way up CA, WA and Alaska. It was so amazing. I actually was quite mad because I had asked for an ailse seat and got a window seat, but amazing views! I got to see some icebergs or what appeared to be icebergs, they were the very small islands of alaska but it looked like white sharp objects coming out of the water. We then crossed the Bering Sea then came down I think Russia's coast to Japan. It was quite interesting when we neared Japan, because it reminded me a lot of Hawaii, there is lots of ocean then BAM there is land jutting up! The mountains of what I saw were very much like Hawaii, the feel and shape of them. I read some of my Robin Cook book, listened to music and watched Time Travlers Wife. It was good and weird/interesting all at the same time. I arrived at Osaka/Kansai airport at about 4:30 pm Saturday Local time. ( I crossed the international time line and feel all messed up). First thing after making it through customs and security, is Takashi and I got a beer! We then waited for the shuttle boat until 6! Took the ferry which wasn't too choppy and arrived in Kobe at my hotel at 7:45pm. Hotel is very nice!
Well, once checked in I changed quickly, the Brigetta, Nao and I went out to dinner at a Sushi place where all the plate of sushi had 2-3 pieces on it and it was all on a belt, so it went by you and you just picked up the plate you wanted! It was quite interesting. I had lots of Salmon and Tuna.. Got back to the hotel and turned in! That is the adventures of Day one... Check in later for day 2 as it is already 7 am here on Sunday!

Buildings in Boston, MA

So I don't know the name of this building, but I believe if you are looking at city hall like from the Government Center T station, it is directly to your left. It intrigued me because of the shapes of the buildings and how one is inset some. Also in the left building, you can see a couple of different windows. The original colors were kind of weird, so I decided to use the Sepia and it worked extremely well. I love how the clouds turned out and the lamp posts. Overall, there isn't really anything about this picture just something intrigues me with me with. I still have not quite point my finger on it so if anyone has any thoughts or comments please feel free to leave them! What is your take on it? Intriguing, boring, ugly?? There are no wrong answers and feelings won't be hurt.. Photos are art, everyone sees it from a different angle!

I love lines especially straight ones formed with objects. I am sure you will be seeing more examples like this.. It is also interesting the line of wood from the pier too!

Canadian Geese on Hager Pond

Canadian Geese can be very annoying to most people especially Bostonians I have decided. Back home in FL, Canadian Geese are very mysterious and intriguing, in Boston all people do is complain about them and how they poo everywhere.. I still have some interest in them and they are still a bird which equals grace.. This one I loved because i thought the tree framed it well. Hope it is enjoyed as much as I did when I took it..

I adore this dog. She is completely spoiled and I am sure there will be many more pictures of her. This one was taken this past weekend in Marlborough. Dave and I decided to take pup and go get subs and ice cream. We got the subs and then went to a gazebo and watched the geese. Odette enjoyed it just as much and watched every move I made when I was taking photos. She is one photographic dog and will soon be my first model ( once she is groomed and bathed).. If you look closely you can see the crumbs around her mouth from her picking up the cracker and bread crumbs left from people feeding the geese. She adores pink just like her mom can you tell?? My little baby munchkin!!!!

Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market

Well the thoughts about this photo... There really isn't a moving story to it but history. This building has been around for so long and seen so much change. It has been a meeting hall and market place since 1742 Who could not love the grasshopper weather vane which you really can't see here. Did you know the weather vane was at one time used to determine if you were a spy or not??? If you were a suspected spy you would be asked to identify the object atop Faneuil Hall. If you correctly answered you were set free, if you did not you were convicted as a British Spy.... Also who doesn't love Sam Adams!!! I was walking up the stairs next to City Hall when I looked back and loved all the colors. The brick popped, the sky was blue, there was a shadow being cast on the side of the building, plus the trees and the flowers. So much history in one picture!

Maybe it has, but to the average person, one won't know. Its like putting on a stage face or act... The audience thinks its part of the play but little do they know you have broken an ankle or there is something seriously wrong.

Solid vs Liquid..

Boston Harbor

It is very simple but I feels says so much. Its wood vs water. The wood at one time needed water to become that wood.. Solid vs Liquid...

Please feel free to critique or leave comments!! My first one is of the purple flowers out near our mail house. It is soft and calming and I had been having a very frustrating day at work and decided to come home at lunch and shoot a few pics.. It definitely relaxed me and it is one of my favorite pics now!

April Update

So I will have to postpone the NYC blogging until I receive more photos so you can all experience the whole effect! So far April has been quite busy and hectic but I am appreciating and enjoying it. The Bruin's have made it to the playoffs and are going strong. Last weekend was Easter. It was good. Spent it with Goofey's family. On Thursday, I was fortunate enough to go to Game 1 of the Bruin's playoff against the Montreal Canadiens. Needless to say it was extremely intense with the history between the two teams. Last night, some friends and I went up to Portland, ME to see Disturbed in concert. It was a very different experience for me, but I liked it and had fun.. Also went to the Sebego Brewing Company. Highly recommend their Red Ale!! Unfortunately we missed watching the Bruins Game 2 yesterday but it was a 5-1 win over the despised Canadiens! Game 3 will be on tomorrow night. We didn't get back home until 4am!! Long day but made me feel young again heheh!! Today will just be laying on the couch relaxing. Hoping to get some work done around the house but that remains to be seen!!

Wow its been awhile!!!

Well I can't believe it has been over a month now since I wrote here. Knew I would dwindle down!!
Well new exciting stuff... The Bruins signed Tim Thomas today 4 year 5 mil contract. I am really happy to have him on the team but I am a little hesitant about the price. It will be interesting come trade and resign season. Not going to lie, a little nervous but nothing I can do about it. Just wait and watch. Hmmm... other stuff.. Went to NYC with Lily last weekend.. Had a great time.. Soon I will put my per day diary up for all to read!! Would write a few things here but it would spoil it...Tomorrow going to see our last home regular season game before start of playoffs!! I can't wait .. WE ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!!
Birthday was fun but quiet. Goofey got me Wii Fit!! It's a blast to play but I can see getting bored with it very fast.
Okay, its beer and game night so going to go enjoy that!! Oh yeah and play Lego Star Wars!!!

Busy Week Coming Up!!

So last night was absolutely insane but amazing. Went to the Bruins-Panthers game.. The Panthers got their ASS KICKED!!! 6-1 was the final score. Byron Bitz (Itsy Bitzy or Triple B (Boston Byron Bitz) or just Bitzy as I call him) had 2 goals and by the last 2 minutes he had almost 17,000 people chanting BITZ BITZ BITZ BITZ!! The last minute the crowd was screaming "we want Bitz".. The kid was insane and earned soo much respect.. He also got 1st star and my all time Lucic got 3rd star so it was great.. Bitz now has 3 goals 2 of which came last night.. As someone commented on the Globe today" If Bitz had gotten a hat trick, we would have torn the Garden apart brick by brick" !! The electricity and vibe was just intense !! The Bruins are back home and winning!!! Life is always better when they are playing great!! We are going to the game tomorrow night against the Ducks.. WIll have updates on that Friday.. I wore my first ordered pair of contacts today and it was miserable. Long story short, I had to go to the doc because everything was co ming in and out of focus. They believe I am just tired and having trouble focusing because my eyes were slow to dialate. Today is Ash Wednesday. Well I am wicked tired, so Goofy and I are going to go watch the rest of season one of Moonlight. Love the show!! Hope everyone is having a good week!!

Nothing like a Sunday update!

Hello to all!! Well this week has been crazy busy but lots to update on. Played Wii Fit for the first time yesterday!! SOOO MUCH FUN!! MRI has turned out to be " normal" which was good news i suppose... On Wednesday I aced my contact 2nd follow up!! I can officially see much better with this pair and got my first order of 3 month supply!! Yesterday I picked up my glasses :'( .. I promise I will only say it once but I HATE BIFOCAL GLASSES!! I am starting to really like the contacts. Tuesday night Goofey went to do Lens Crafters with me and helped pick them out. Here are the Frames you can see for yourself. I found other pair I liked much better but due to having bifocals I am still limited to how small they can be. There hasn't been to much action in hockey world. I missed last nights game which I think was only the 4th or 5th game I have not watched all season. We are going to Tuesdays game against the Florida Panthers. Tonight its Bruins vs Tampa Bay. Goofey is making Beer Chili tonight mmm can't wait it smells yummy. I think later in the week I am going to try making a Rachael Ray recipe.. Will keep you updated on how that goes.. I love cooking so much. My computer is being so stupid. I have been working on it all day and finally got it working tonight. Ok I think that is it for now!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Sending out warm thoughts to Lily .. Hope you don't get to much more snow!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Update on the MRI, had that yesterday but will not know any official diagnoses until Tuesday. Wet read says there is nothing major like a tumor or massive blockage!
Today has been very low key but wonderful. This morning I made blueberry french toast which turned out very good. Just bummed around and started making the cake this afternoon. Did some cleaning too.. Dave made Honey Dijon Salmon which was absolutely AMAZING with sides of corn and carrots!!!! We had a wonderful dinner by candlelight. Was so nice to sit at the table with no TV or interruptions. The salmon still had the "skin" on the bottom and we found out that if I see the silver scales it turns my tummy!! It was hilarious. I can see brain, guts, blood, and it doesn't phase me but the fat on corned beef and skin on fish OMG I almost DIE!! One of my candle holder's base which is made of glass, was broken and i was drying it off and somehow the edge of the glass made a nice slice right over my right thumb knuckle.. I immediately knew it wasn't good, but at first it didn't start bleeding and then all the sudden it let out!! I put a lot of pressure on it for like 20min before it would stop bleeding, but if i even try to bend my finger it starts bleeding again. I think it is fine. It stopped and i put a bandaid on it and wrapped it in an ace tape to keep it straight for I figure a day or two then it will be fine. I made a Red Velvet Cake with a cream cheese frosting for dessert. We haven't had it yet but here is what it looks like!
Bruins are playing the Predators!! They played a great game last night but lost to a soft goal.
Okay well I am going to go watch the rest of the game! Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day!!

Tuesday Goodies

The Bruins are playing tonight. I am very excited and also happy to report that Ryder will only be out 2-3 weeks recovering from his orbital fractures. Northeastern lost the Bean Pot yesterday. Today was okay. I have to go for an MRI on Friday as there is a chance my headache is being caused by a blood clot in the brain. I am not sure how I am handling it yet. I go through waves of anger then being ok and not worried. I am just going to try and not think about it til next week. I am still pretty motion sick. I am excited because I have a 3 day weekend this weekend plus it is Valentines day!!! Goofy and I are going to keep it low key and just cook for each other.. I am so excited I am coming up with breakfast and dessert and he is making dinner. Well I guess that is all to report today. Going to go enjoy the hockey game. Oh yeah I started reading Jurassic Park last night...

Weekend Update

So the weekend wasn't what I had pictured at all. Friday was ok, took a half day at work, got everything together and headed up to VT. Drive was fine. Started feeling extremely motion sickness that night but as soon as we got there I took my contacts out. By 11pm I was vomiting and passed out from the nausea. Saturday morning, woke up and anything I looked at was just shaking. Nothing was in focus and I could barely stand up. I called my doc and she said I needed to go to the ER. Dave had gone skiing with everyone earlier in the morning. It took me until 11am before i could get out of bed and shower. I had to cancel my massage to go to the ER. After much arguing, I picked up Dave at the mountain and we drove over to NH to DHMC. They diagnosed it as Migraines. They gave me a ton of fluids and meds through IV, and said I would be out of it the rest of the night. They sure were right. We got back to VT around 4pm and I slept until 10am Sunday morning. Socialized some and returned back to MA and it was amazing to be back home. Just mainly slept all day. Today went back to work and it seems to have gotten better. Tomorrow I have the follow up appointment with my doctor to figure this out.. Will keep all updated.

They Don't Bite!

So I have come to a conclusion that my contacts are my friends not mini jellyfish without the tentacles ( cmon they so look like them !). I woke up and decided it was time to have a chat with them before we both started a love-hate relationship. I gave them a bath and looked at them and was like I will be nice to you if you will be nice to me. The agreement was mutual. They decided to give my eyes a hug on the first or second try. My old pair used to kick and scream and then just when i thought the tantrum was over , i would blink and they would pop out! I had decided they were going through the terrible twos or puberty. They assisted me in seeing until lunch time when I laid them down for their extended nap for the day. We are both still getting acquinted with one another and we don't want any cat/scratching fights. I watered my eyes and everyone was happy. I decided I am missing the little buggers and can't wait to visit with them again tomorrow morning!
Tonight Goofy and I ordered a 5 cheese pizza that we are waiting to be delivered because we are both hungry. Bruins play tonight but Lucic is out with a swollen foot. He took a shot off the foot last night in the game and apparently it is too swollen for him to dress tonight. The Bruins are facing the Ottowa Senators tonight at 7pm. I can't wait I love watching games. I have to do some work tonight at home while watching the game but going to try and get alot done so I don't have to do while on Ski trip. Tomorrow I am only working a half day because we leave for the gang ski trip this year in VT! I am not skiing but going to have my first massage !! Fifty minutes of pure relaxation, not sure how my body is going to take that!! Dinner and Bruins!! Night all!!

So Sad

I have been prescribed my dreaded fear. Time for Bifocals again. When the doctor told me, I literally almost started crying. She was great and presented all the options and we decided the best option is contacts. It is still really hard for me to admit to needing them or that is the right option. I hate them more than anyone knows. Colors are all "corrected" and I can't see far away like street signs as well as I can without glasses. It makes things "worse" than regular glasses. Just talking about it makes me so close to tears. The only good thing is right away it helped reduce my headache. Last night I couldn't sleep at all because it just felt like needles in the forehead. I finally kind of fell asleep around 6:30 and slept until 7:45.. BRUTALNESS.. I will give the prescription one month and then will make the final call and hope that I can make a smooth transition and not reject them because of the scars they bring . In a month if I have adjusted I will get the glasses filled for when i don't wear my contacts. I really don't know why it bothers me so bad. I even called my mom right after I found out and the first thing she said was Oh I am so sorry I know how hard it is for you. Hopefully I can work through it and make the adjustment.
So there is the scoop. I am heading to bed to watch an episode of Moonlight..
Bruins won!! 3-1!! So happy and I got to talk to Lily and we had our good laughs!!! Remember Lily lots of Vitamin C!!!!! :-D Nighty night to all!

Tuesday Randomness

So today wasn't to exciting.. Worked until a little after 6pm then had to deal with the snowy commute home.. I have had a headache for 2 days now. Not sure what is causing it but I think it might be time for an eye exam so I scheduled one for tomorrow at 5:30. I hate eye exams so much especially if they have to dilate my eyes. Also I am going to cry if they tell me I have to wear glasses all the time. Right now I only have to wear them if I am at work or reading. I will SCREAM if they put me back into bifocals... NOOOOO.. I have nightmares of Bifocals. You don't understand try being a 13 year old who has to wear old lady huge bug glasses because progressive lenses have not hit the market yet... If I have to do bifocals again(cringe) I will most likely do contacts. I will probably do contacts at some point if I have to wear glasses all the time. I despise glasses with a passion and only in the last 6 months been wearing them faithfully everyday at work. Came home, did some dishes and then Goofy and I made dinner together. Pasta with meat sauce and rolls... MMMMM I love food ( and I wonder why I can't loose weight ) hmmm... I was going to go to the gym but a certain someone told me I must go home and no gym for me .. ( I am going to have to come up with Aliases for my friends . Tomorrows thoughts!) Agenda for this evening: Play some Mario Galaxy and then have ice cream sundae, then BEDDY!!! Will write tomorrow about how the apt goes if I can see when I get home! Oh yeah, Bruins game on tomorrow night agains the Flyers!!! Yippe I get to see my boys!

Welcome

Hello! Welcome to my blog.. I am going to attempt this whole blogging thing. I did it back in the day at Xanga and of course joined the myspace groupies, but never stuck with it.. I will probably whine about a lot of things like life, but will express my joys of dance, hockey and such also! Alittle about me, I love alligators so much. The one and only reason I miss florida. I miss dancing quite a bit but still appreciate it. I went and saw Romeo and Juliet performed by Boston Ballet last year on Valentine's Day.. Thanks honey you are the bestest! Hockey is my new obsession. My favorite players are Lucic, Wheeler and Thomas. Some might say I am a sports fanatic, I can deal with it!
Tonight we are watching the second game of the Beanpot.. Of course rooting for Northeastern (hint that is where my bf went) vs BC. BU won the first game over Harvard. So for my first post, that is all I have tonight! Going to go relax a little more, play bubble spinner at addicting games because trust me it is ADDICTING, maybe crochet some tonight, other than that just make an ice cream sundae later MMM!!!
